Our Story
Aerway Leasing, LLC (Aerway) is an aviation leasing company based out of Waterford, Wisconsin. Aerway is an aviation leasing, asset management, and sales company. Aerway actively acquires, manages, leases, trades and tears down commercial aircraft and engines. Aerway acquires assets from various sources including Airlines (domestic & abroad), financial institutions, and leasing organizations. Aerway’s approach to transactions primarily consists of two philosophies 1). Value Added and 2). True Metal Value. Aerway actively seeks assets that require value added improvements either through technical enhancement, lessee management, or new mission profile i.e. conversion. In connection with the value added component Aerway will seek opportunities for acquisition from a True Metal Value perspective which allows for flexibility of disposal of the asset either through sale, lease restructure or teardown of the aircraft. In parallel with the above mentioned, Aerway Leasing has established a presence within the industry that has afforded Aerway the ability to acquire assets with lease’s attached provided they meet the economic objectives that are established for said transaction.

Stephen Kennicott:
Founder and Managing Director of Aerway Leasing, Former Co-Founder and Managing Director of Aurora Aviation Group, LLC and Former Co-Founder and Managing Director of RPK Capital Management Group, LLC. Direct experience with over $1 Billion in Aircraft Portfolio Assets that involved the sales, leasing, debt acquisition, financial structuring, remarketing of the portfolio and tear down management. Mr. S. Kennicott began his Aviation career in 1997 as an accounts Manager of Business Development in North America for Aviation Systems International, Inc. Prior to starting his Commercial Aviation career Mr. S. Kennicott was and Assistant Manager at his Family businesses Milwaukee Branch location. In 1988 Mr. S. Kennicott joined the United States Army and was trained as turbine systems mechanic, serving 4 years on active duty. Additionally, Mr. S. Kennicott served 2.5 more years in the United States Army Reserve as a transportation specialist. While in the military Mr. S. Kennicott attended the University of Maryland European Division. Following his honorable discharge Mr. S Kennicott attended the University of Illinois Chicago majoring in Business Management and minoring in Finance. Stephen@aerwayllc.com
David Kennicott:
Director of Asset Management . Mr. D Kennicott attended Lynn University in Boca Raton Florida for Advertising and Design/Marketing, while attending school he worked at Aviation System International (ASI). Mr. D Kennicott worked in the Quality control department inspecting and identifying parts. After collage Mr. Kennicott joined the family business, Kennicott Brothers Company (KBC), a Company that has been in Business since 1881. At KBC Mr. D. Kennicott was an Information Technology Manager, while at KBC he implemented two accounting and order entry systems, as well as managing the data base. In 2008 Mr. Kennicott joined Aurora Aviation Group as Director of Information Systems to implement AerData asset management system and performed monthly asset management tasks for our clients. Mary Brown:
Controller, Ms. Brown attended University of Wisconsin-La Cross graduating in 1991. She join Aerways team in 2022 and her responsibilities included treasury functions, financial reporting, budgeting, interfacing and training with the financial side of the asset management system and providing monthly reports to our venture partners. Michael Demnicki:
General Counsel. Mr. Demnicki attended Loyola University for undergraduate studies and St Louis University to obtain his law degree. Mr. Demnicki worked for Vedder Price LLP, a leading US law firm specializing in Aviation. Mr. Demnicki has personally invested in multiple aircraft since 1998 and is currently one of our investors.
